Illustrator Tutorial: Making a Nail Cutter

nail cutter

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a nail cutter using Adobe Illustrator. I’ll mostly be drawing shapes and be using the Gradient Tool to accomplish the desired effect. If you’re familiar with Illustrator, you should be able to follow along easily. We will start by dividing the whole project into three parts. 10 to 15 steps are included in each part together with a separate layer. In the end, we will just arrange the layers and get the desired result. Now let’s start. nail cutter

Part 1

1. Select the Pen Tool (p) and create a shape and fill the object with Gradient Color. nail cutter 2. Select the Pen Tool (P) and draw a shape and fill it with Gradient color. nail cutter 3. Create another shape on the top using the Pen Tool(p) and fill it with the Gradient color. nail cutternail cutter 4. Create a different shape in the front and fill it with Linear Gradient. nail cutternail cutter 5. Now draw the gradient shapes using the Pencil Tool and place them at the bottom. nail cutter 6. Now create a shape using the Pen Tool (P) and fill it with linear gradient. nail cutternail cutter 7. Create a shape using the Pen Tool (P) and fill it with linear gradient. nail cutternail cutter 8. Now create a shape using the Pen Tool (P) and fill it with Gradient color. Make the opacity 77%. nail cutter 9. Create a new line using the Pen Tool. Stoke black with opacity of 54%. nail cutter 10.
