Illustrator Tip #23: Glossy Buttons

Creating vector glossy button is very simple and useful for web interface design. In this illustrator tip, I will show you how to create a quick glossy button using Screen layer blending mode.

1. The first step is to create the rounded rectangle button. Select the rounded rectangle tool and draw a button and fill it with linear gradient.

2. Next go to Object > Path > Offset Path and enter -2px for it. It will create a smaller rectangle inside. Select it and fill it with a black to white gradient.
